Dr. Michelle Bragg (“Dr. B”) is an English Teacher at Orange Lutheran High School. During the summer months and after school, she offers private academic tutoring through her business, OCAcademics.

Her education includes a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English from Cal. State University Fullerton, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Pepperdine University’s Seaver College. She also earned a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP).

Known for helping graduate students with their writing while she was completing her doctorate, Dr. B was asked to serve as founding Director of the GSEP Writing Support Program, as well as Adjunct Professor of Education & Dissertation Chair, where she taught graduate-level research methodology and academic research writing for over 10 years. During this time, she also taught all levels of English literature and composition at Pepperdine’s Seaver College, as well as in community colleges throughout Southern California and Arizona.

From 2011 to 2017, she served as Director of the Online Writing and Math Community (OWMC) and Assistant Professor of Organizational Leadership & English Composition for the online arm of Chapman University.  She is responsible for the concept, creation, and launch of the OWMC, which is a fully online tutoring and academic support platform still serving students at twenty-seven campuses located both online and throughout California and Washington. 

Dr. B now enjoys teaching English full time at Orange Lutheran High School, which keeps her near her children and home here in beautiful Orange County, California. She teaches American, British and World Literature as well as DSPS (special needs) classes for students in grades 9 - 12. Under the umbrella of OCAcademics, she also enjoys tutoring individual students, helping them hone their academic writing skills, successfully navigate the college application process, and quickly and easily write college application essays.
